Strawberry Basil Margarita

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. Tait Farm Strawberry Basil Shrub

  • 2 oz. Silver Tequila OR 2 oz. orange juice for a nonalcoholic margarita

  • 3/4 oz. fresh lime juice

  • 1 cup frozen unsweetened sliced strawberries

  • 4 fresh basil leaves

  • 1 lime wedge and fresh strawberries for garnish, optional.

  • Coarse sugar or coarse salt, optional

For a salted or sugared rim, moisten the glass rim with a lime wedge. If desired, sprinkle sugar or salt on a plate; dip the rim until its covered well.

Place Shrub, tequila or orange juice, lime juice, strawberries, and basil in a blender; cover and process until smooth. Pour into prepared glass. Garnish with lime wedge and, if desired, strawberries and additional basil leaves.
