Spiced Cranberry Sangria
Sangria is usually thought of as a summer drink, but this version celebrates the holiday flavors of cinnamon,
cranberry, and orange.
1 C. Tait Farm Cranberry Shrub
1 bottle semi-dry red wine
½ bottle sparkling water (2 C.)
3 cinnamon sticks (4” each)
6 whole cloves
1 C. fresh cranberries
The day before, pour 1 C. Tait Farm Cranberry Shrub into a glass jar and add 1 sliced orange, cinnamon sticks, and whole cloves. Cover and let soak for a day. Before making sangria, strain the shrub mixture and discard the fruit and spices. Pour strained shrub mixture into a pitcher; add the red wine, 1 sliced orange, cranberries, sparkling water, and ice. Stir and serve immediately.
Our local version features Mt. Nittany Winery's Tailgate Red.
