Sour Cherry Smash
Basil adds an unexpected herbal note to this jammy rum punch.
1½ oz. Barrel 21 Rum (or other light rum of your choice)
½ oz. Cointreau
½ oz. Tait Farm Sour Cherry Shrub
whole fresh basil leaves (Genovese or Sweet Thai)
sparkling water or seltzer
Muddle one cherry and three pieces of basil. Combine rum, Cointreau, and shrub in a shaker, shake well, and then pour into your preferred glass. Top with sparkling water or seltzer.
