We are so excited about the upcoming growing season and the variety of seeds we are offering this year. We happily offer both organic and inorganic seeds from our favorite seed companies, seeds that we use right on our own farm! This year's offerings come from Franchi, High Mowing, Botanical Interests, Renee's Garden and Hudson Valley Seed Company. We look forward to providing everything you need to get growing!

Tait Farm Native Plant Nursery
2020 Nursery Natives List
Come visit our small native plant retail nursery. The nursery currently includes 148 species of local ecotype native plants with new plants added every year. All the plants we offer are propagated on the farm or in the farm's propagation facilities. The selection of plants we offer has been chosen for various reasons - they provide pollen and nectar for native bees, with many species being host plants for native butterflies and moths. Some are particularly useful at attracting predatory and parasitoid wasps and flies that will control unwanted pest insects. Some of the plants are showy and will integrate well into more formal gardens, and some will not fit well in formal plantings - these plants are grown for the purpose of creating habitat for all sorts of wildlife. In addition, we are propagating a handful of sedge species that make great ground covers or lawn substitutes.
