Black Bean Burgers with Raspberry Chipotle Mustard SauceOur Raspberry Chipotle Mustard adds a sweet smoky heat to the sauce on these hearty and satisfying burgers.
1 1/2 C. cooked black beans, rinsed and drained (1 15oz. can)
1/4 C. diced onion 1/3 C. dry bread crumbs 1 large egg 1 tsp. ground cumin 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. black pepper 2-3 Tbs. oil for frying Aioli: 1/4 C. mayonnaise 1 heaping Tbs. Tait Farm Raspberry Chipotle Mustard Put 1 cup of the beans in a bowl and mash to a paste. (A potato masher works well.) Add the rest of the beans, onions, bread crumbs, egg and seasonings. Combine well. Form into four patties. Stir the Chipotle Mustard into the mayonnaise and set aside. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the burgers until they are crispy on the bottom (3-4 minutes). Flip to the other side and fry until crispy. Serve on buns with the aioli sauce, lettuce and tomato slices. makes 4 burgers |
